The County of Maui (COM), Department of Environmental Management, Wastewater Reclamation Division (DEM-WWRD) is proposing the construction of the Lahaina Force Main No. 3 Replacement. The proposed project will include replacement of the existing 20-inch sewer force main (FM) from the Lahaina Wastewater Pump Station (WWPS) No. 3 to the existing valve vault near the location of the old Lahaina WWPS No. 3. The existing FM will be capped and remain as an emergency backup or abandoned in place. The new 20-inch FM will be approximately 2,200 linear feet (lf) long and will extend from the Lahaina WWPS No. 3 to the existing valve vault, using the same start and end points as the existing FM but on a new alignment. The new alignment will generally be along Wahikuli Terrace Park Access Road and Malo Street before crossing Honoapiilani Highway and terminating at the existing valve vault.
