The Ledger collects what you type into a form on this site (an email address, a board area, a message) and nothing else from you directly. Forms are processed by Netlify, which hosts the site. The reader list is never sold or shared, and every email will carry an unsubscribe link.

The site sets no advertising cookies. It remembers, for the length of your visit, a “src” tag in a link that brought you here, so the publisher can tell which links work.

Public records on this site name people as the government's record names them. If a record here names you and is wrong, report it; if the record itself is wrong, the agency that published it is the place to fix it, and the Ledger will follow the corrected record.
