The award and use of Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) financial assistance to the State Department of Transportation (HDOT) to install a microgrid at the HDOT District Office baseyard on Maui. The microgrid will be installed on three existing buildings and will consist of electric vehicle charging stations, photovoltaic (PV) panels mounted on existing buildings, and a Tesla Megapack battery energy storage system. The project will also include limited trenching within the baseyard for installation of new electrical conduit.
