The Association of Apartment Owners (AOAO) of the Makani Kai Marina proposes improvements to three docks (Docks A, C, and D) to enhance the transition between the shore and floating docks at the private Makani Kai Marina in Kaneohe Bay, Oahu. The proposed improvements will not significantly alter the functional layout of the existing dock facility but will improve the restricted pedestrian access. Improvements to Docks A and C consist of installing cantilevered pop-out walkway sections. Improvements to Dock D include constructing a new shore-to-dock access ramp, gangway abutment, and floating platform at the landward end of the primary dock walkway, as well as reorienting the gangway at the landing to further improve shore-to-dock access.
